Utica Excellence, Utica Value

Economics at Utica

One thing I enjoyed about Utica's Economics major is the really valuable knowledge about finance and economic theory your professors pass along to you.

Career Opportunities

There is a demand for those who are broadly trained in the liberal arts without sacrificing the firm foundation of depth in analytical thinking. This program also provides the basis for graduate work in economics and law, or for training for high executive positions.

Investing

The investment club, which is run by students with oversight from our finance faculty, manages a portfolio worth more than $150,000. This hands-on experience applies real-world approaches to wealth management and analysis.

What You'll Learn

Economics is the study of the production, development, distribution, and management of wealth and of the dynamics of economic interactions between individuals and groups. Economics majors at Utica study advanced economic theory, completing their work with a semester-long senior project research paper, focusing on a contemporary social or economic issue.
