“We poured our hearts out onto that stage and couldn’t be happier! Our team has come so far in the past four months and we are so proud of everything we have accomplished,” said Coach Ciara Parrish ’04.
Held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World, Utica competed against 19 teams from colleges across the United States and Puerto Rico.
The most prestigious collegiate national championship in the country, the UDA Nationals marked the culmination of four months of nonstop preparation.

“This routine marked a turning point in our program, learning new techniques and pushing our limits. We couldn’t be more proud of the improvement our dancers have shown this year!”
It also serves as a valuable networking prospect for dancers and coaches, fostering connections that can lead to future collaborations and career opportunities.
The Utica Dance Team (UDT) is a Division III club sport established in 2018 and currently performs at football, basketball, and hockey games as well as other on-campus events. In addition to these performances and their appearances over the past two years at nationals, the team competes at local collegiate dance competitions, such as SUNY Brockport, where they have taken home numerous high placement trophies and special awards.
Congratulations to the team on their energetic performance and Pioneer Pride on the national stage.
